Alder
This wood is lightweight and has slightly less midrange with full low-end and nice singing highs. We use this wood because of its bold grain patterns that look great with colored finishes or left natural.
Swamp Ash
This wood has a warm quality with accentuated low-midrange. It is considered a classic tone wood.
Mahogany
Alder is light weight and very resonant. We use this wood as the base for our laminated bodies. It is considered a classic tonewood. Laminated bodies get a clear finish only.
